Just because Black Friday is over, doesn’t mean the sales have disappeared. Cyber Monday has been a favorite of shoppers in the know since 2005 for amazing deals without the lines, and Cyber Monday 2020 only promises to be even bigger than ever. That’s why Elite Daily is rounding up all the must-haves from Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and beyond. Whether you’re shopping for beauty, clothing, a Nintendo Switch, InstantPot, laptops, tablets, and phones (including Apple products) for yourself or family and friends, these are the best Cyber Monday deals you won’t want to miss.
Cyber Monday is the Monday after Thanksgiving (and Black Friday) so Cyber Monday 2020 will be on November 30. On that day, you can expect to find some of the best deals all year online if you know where to look. In fact, the discounts during Cyber Monday last year might have even been better than on Black Friday. That’s why Elite Daily will be rounding up all the must-have scores starting early in the morning so you can separate the best deals from the rest including home goods like an Instant Pot, fashion, and beauty products. Many retailers, including Amazon, are turning Black Friday and Cyber Monday into a full four-day shopping event, so be sure to keep your eye out for deals throughout the entire holiday weekend.
Since Cyber Monday has become a continuation of the shopping and deals bonanza that begins in November (and sometimes even earlier), there’s not really one specific start time or end time for that matter. Expect to see many deals being released around the stroke of midnight and even on Sunday evening. Plus, deals will continue on for many more days of deals – including lots of day-specific deals – for what has become known as Cyber Week.
The best things to buy are the things that suit your lifestyle or would make great gifts for your friends and family, but for a little inspiration, know this: Cyber Monday is well known as a day for tech deals from laptops to tablets to phones to headphones and gaming systems, especially if you don’t mind a slightly older model (at a heavily discounted price to make it worth it, sometimes around 50% off or more).
Last year saw plenty of Apple and Samsung products on sale so expect similar scores this year, too. If you didn’t pick up a television, smart home, or appliance on Black Friday, Cyber Monday 2020 will still be a great time to pick one up. It’s also the time to grab that Instant Pot, Roomba, KitchenAid mixer, Nespresso machine, or other home device you’ve had your eye on.
If you’re in the market for beauty, clothing, and accessories, there are tons of great deals on those, too. We’ll be keeping you posted on discounts on everything from Korean skin-care favorites and cult conditioning hair treatments to very cozy puffer coats and scarves. And be on the lookout for health and fitness equipment and apparel, too, from electric toothbrushes to a FitBit to quality leggings to run and lunge and kick in at a fraction of the full price.
But while you’re shopping keep in mind that like during Black Friday, there are a ton of deals, but not all of them are great deals. Some Cyber Monday deals will be discounts you see multiple times a year and occasionally the discounts are limited to 10 or 15% which is nice if you were already planning on buying the item, but not a deal to rush out for.
Historically, Amazon has been one of the biggest players for the best Cyber Monday deals, offering blenders, mattresses, cookware, tablets, and much, much more on sale last year with the same expected this year. Amazon has also traditionally heavily discounted Fire, Kindle, Echo, and Alexa-related products, so keep an eye out for those if they’ve been on your list. In general, you you don't have to be a Prime member to take advantage of Amazon's deals, but the free shipping makes a Prime membership worthwhile if you're planning on doing a lot of online shopping throughout the season.
Plenty of brick and mortar retailers like Best Buy, Walmart, and Target are getting in on the action, too, with a range of discounts on toys, tech, beauty, clothing, and more. Since these big retailers see each other as competition, they often try to match each others’ deals. So if you see something you like at one site but would prefer to get two-day Prime shipping, it might be worth it to check if Amazon offers the same item for the same price.
Cyber Monday is also a great day to shop at the small cult sites you love but which rarely offer sales. For 2019, that included Glossier, ColourPop, and cult-favorite luxury CBD brand Lord Jones.
However, since the deals don’t end when the clock hits midnight on Monday night, Elite Daily will continue scouring the internet for the best deals through Cyber Week and beyond.
We only recommend products we love and that we think you will, too. We may receive a portion of sales from products purchased from this article, which was written by our Commerce team.
