Alana Bracken is the Associate Manager of Strategy for Bustle Digital Group’s lifestyle brands (Bustle, Romper, Elite Daily, The Zoe Report, and NYLON). Prior to BDG, she worked in the digital marketing space as a strategist and writer, and was Associate Editor of Long Island Pulse, where she oversaw the print magazine’s Trendspotting, Interiors, and Food & Drink verticals. Alana’s bylines have also appeared in Parents.com and multiple Modern Luxury properties. She has a bachelor’s degree from the Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California, where she was an award-winning producer of Annenberg Media’s radio news show, From Where We Are. She also has a dual degree in Linguistics, which still comes in handy when explaining to her friends the etymology of "cheugy," or any of TikTok's other latest slang. Outside of work, you’ll likely find Alana walking thirty blocks to save the subway fare, only to spend an unreasonable amount on an oat milk latte from the latest trendy coffee shop. In another life, she was also a champion-level Irish dancer and still has the travel bug that she caught after years of traveling internationally for competitions.
