There’s a new mom in town: Lindsay Lohan. On Mar. 14, the actor announced she’s expecting her first child with husband Bader Shammas. “We are blessed and excited!” she wrote on Instagram, alongside a white heart and baby emoji. Her surprising caption accompanied a photo of a white onesie that reads, “coming soon.” She also tagged Shammas in the heartwarming post.

Naturally, fans and celebrities like Quinta Brunson, Mean Girls co-star Amanda Seyfried, The Parent Trap director Nancy Meyers, and Kathy Hilton (Paris Hilton’s mom), sent the couple well-wishes in the comments section.

“This is WONDERFUL NEWS!!” Seyfried commented, while Kathy posted a flood of heart-eye emojis. Her praise is specifically sweet, as Lohan was one of many stars who congratulated Paris on the birth of her son, Phoenix, in January. Meyers also added she was “so excited” for Lohan and her new journey to motherhood. OK, crossing fingers her baby might be a Camp Walden attendee in a few summers.

Since the release of her Netflix rom-com Falling For Christmas, the world’s been swimming in the Lohaissance, including Lohan herself. In November 2022, the same month her film released, Lohan told Seyfried in a feature for Interview magazine that she was excited to have children with her acting career seeing a revival.

“I want to do a few fun things, and then I want to do some more serious things. And I want to have kids,” she said, adding that she and Shammas want to raise their kids in Dubai, where they are rumored to have met. IYDK, the actor moved there in 2014.

According to People, the couple began dating in February 2020, and got engaged nearly a year later in November 2021. That same month, Lohan shared their engagement in a carousel of selfies of her bashfully posing with her diamond ring. Similar to their other relationship updates, Lohan also casually announced they tied the knot seven months later on Instagram. It’s unclear when, exactly, the duo got married; however, the actor called Shammas her “husband” in the July post.

“I am the luckiest woman in the world. You found me and knew that I wanted to find happiness and grace, all at the same time. I am stunned that you are my husband. My life and my everything. Every woman should feel like this everyday,” Lohan wrote.

Their baby news is incredibly exciting, considering Lohan opened up about having a miscarriage while filming her 2014 docuseries, Lindsay. “No one knows this. I had a miscarriage for the two weeks that I took off,” she said at the time, per Entertainment Weekly. “It's a very long story. I was sick. And mentally that messes with you.”

Something’s telling me Lohan won’t be a regular mom, but a cool mom.
