Marissa’s beauty and writing career began at Hearst magazines as a beauty editor, where she worked across a number of titles: Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, Good Housekeeping, Redbook, and Woman’s Day. She has also worked at PureWow.com where she focused on building and growing their social media presence with beauty content, including original video content. Marissa additionally leverages her writing expertise to help brands tell their stories through copywriting. She strategizes and develops custom marketing emails, website and Amazon copy, packaging copy, and organic and paid social copy that helps acquire, retain, and convert customers. Marissa has a degree in Journalism and Media studies from Rutgers University.

Marissa is fascinated by the science behind beauty products and the ever-evolving technology in the beauty industry. She also enjoys how beauty products can help people feel like the very best versions of themselves. When she’s not writing, you can catch her with her new baby boy, taking a bath (while reading a good book), cooking something simple but delicious, and doing Pilates or yoga.
