She is a fluent French speaker and spent two years teaching English in Paris, France, where she also covered protests organized by American activists abroad for Bustle's news section. Madhuri's work has previously appeared in The Washington Post, Women's eNews, and the Social Justice News Nexus. In her spare time, Madhuri is a freelance writer and photographer dedicated to Harry Potter, dog memes, and better public transit.
