As 2016 continues to take, take, take during its final week, Kanye West claws his way up the side of a mountain bare-handed and peeks over the edge, gently wishing us all happiness in 2017.

The rapper left a workout at 24 Hour Fitness in LA and was bombarded by paparazzi requesting Ye share his New Year's resolution for 2017.

Kanye admitted,

I just want everybody to be happy.

In return, the paparazzo shooting the video wished the 39-year-old and Kim “all the happiness," to which Kanye responded,

To you, too, and all the families.

On behalf of all the families — every last one — thank you, Kanye.

We know the past few months haven't been easy on our self-proclaimed future president.

Between Kim Kardashian West's robbery and Kanye's breakdown and his Saint Pablo tour cancellation and his hospitalization and his weird new friendship with Donald Trump that we plan on talking to him about when he's feeling better, it's been one hell of an autumn for Mr. West.

Friends and family in Kanye's corner have wished him and Kim well, confident the couple will recover from recent events.

Earlier this month, pal French Montana told ET,

He's doing great. He's a, he's a strong guy… He's been through a lot and you know, this is just another hurdle in the way, you know what I'm saying? I mean I love everything he been doing, man. I feel like he's speaking the truth, you know what I'm saying? I'm with him, that's my big brother.

We're all with Kanye, and while that's probably not true, he'll be back on top once again regardless of where our favor lies.

He comes back. That's, like, his whole thing. Kanye West is like an episode of "Breaking Bad": You're never entirely sure whose side you're on but you know you can't stop watching.

Don't worry, Ye. We're still watching.
