This Girl's Viral Tweet About Her Ex Is Pretty Much The Clapback To End All Clapbacks

by Candice Jalili

There are lots of ways to go about a breakup. You can take the sad route and mourn the end of your relationship and the loss of this person who was once so important to you. You can take the angry route and resent this person for letting things get to this point. You can go for a mix of those two options and settle for a nice sad/angry spiral for a while. Or, if you're really brave, you can go for a positive route (as positive as you can be) and try to celebrate the bright side of this sad event. And one girl's tweet about her ex shows us exactly how to go about taking that last option.

According to her tweet, Miranda (Twitter user @Mandy_Rose99) was out one night, when she was reportedly rudely called "disgusting." Clearly (and thankfully), she very much knows her worth and has no time for some person who's going to be calling her disgusting, so she, in turn, cut that negativity right out of her life. Now, here's where she was faced with some options. She could have been sad or angry about the breakup and about the hurtful words, but no. Instead, she decided to put this person on blast for those rude words and celebrate the fact that she was finally "200 pounds lighter." Granted, she's actually not talking about herself here.

The tweet itself read, "after getting called disgusting last night, i successfully dropped 200lbs!! (Before and after pics)."

Get it? She dumped the person who reportedly called her disgusting, so that means that extra 200 pounds of weight she'd been dragging around (aka her ex) wasn't going to be keeping her down any longer. She was finally free from this person, and she was ready to celebrate with a good, old-fashioned, witty social media post, which has since gone viral with more than 30,000 retweets and almost 300,000 favorites.

Women across Twitter praised Miranda for her bravery and reassured her that she is not, in any way, disgusting.

...that is unless you can be disgustingly perfect, like this Twitter user said. (Still, though, she is amazingly perfect, not disgustingly.)

In fact, this user thinks Miranda is way better looking than her ex.

She is a queen.

She's this woman's idol.

Her family is definitely proud of her.

This guy sees this as his opportunity to shoot his shot with her, and I'm all for it.

And so does this guy!

I have a feeling our girl, Miranda, won't be single for long, and if she is, it'll be because she isn't trying to settle for anyone that makes her feel bad.

One mysterious tweet suggests there may be more to the story.

Still, the fact of the matter is, no matter what the actual context of the situation was, it hurt Miranda and being called "disgusting" in any context by someone else is never OK. A person who calls you names is nothing but baggage weighing you down.

Don't waste a moment of your precious life being dragged down by someone who thinks you're anything less than wonderful. And when you finally get the strength to walk away from the person who doesn't make you feel good about yourself, remember how better off you are without all of that extra weight bringing you down. Now, there is a positive way to look at a breakup.
