Anonymous Asks Everyone With A Computer To Wage 'Total War' On Trump

The hacker group Anonymous just released a video declaring "total war" on Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

In the video, a masked representative of the hacktivist collective stated,

Dear Donald Trump, We have been watching you for a long time and what we see is deeply disturbing. Your inconsistent and hateful campaign has not only shocked the United States of America, you have shocked the entire planet with your appalling actions and ideas. You say what your current audience wants to hear but in reality you don't stand for anything except for your personal greed and power.

The video showed a series of Trump's public statements, including some of his more disturbing remarks regarding Mexico and immigration, as well as offensive comments he made about women.

Anonymous said this is "a call to arms" against Donald Trump. The group wants anyone with a computer to join its efforts against the real estate mogul. The representative in the video continued,

We need you to shut down his websites. Research and expose what he doesn't want the public to know. We need you to dismantle his campaign and sabotage his brand... This is not a warning, this is a declaration of total war. Operation Trump engaged.

This is not the first time Anonymous took a stand against Trump. Back in December, the hacker group targeted the GOP frontrunner for his call to ban Muslim immigration to the US.

It seems the vitriol toward Donald Trump is spreading rapidly and coming from all angles.

On Monday, "Humans of New York" creator Brandon Stanton wrote a scathing open letter to Trump condemning Trump's campaign and rhetoric. This letter was preceded by comments made this past Friday and Saturday by R&B singer John Legend and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, who both called Trump "racist."
