Kyle Cooke is ready to talk about his ex-wife Amanda Batula starting a new relationship with their Summer House co-star West Wilson. The surprising romance shook the whole fandom when Batula and Wilson confirmed they are dating in a joint statement on March 31. Although Cooke, who announced his split with Batula about two months prior, revealed that his ex did give him “a heads up,” he only found out a couple of days before everyone else.

“I just basically figured out over the weekend. Obviously, I was trying to give everyone the benefit of the doubt,” Cooke said in an April 1 TikTok interview. Some eyebrow-raising remarks after Batula and Wilson’s announcement raised questions about when the relationship really started.

“I don't understand the timeline just yet,” Cooke said. “It definitely makes me second-guess a lot of things from last summer. At a minimum, just how checked out she was. In my own unsuccessful ways, I was still trying to put an effort in. It's a mental mindf*ck for me, because there's so much we're still watching from that summer. I'm at a little bit of a loss for words.”

Cooke is now watching the current season of Summer House through new eyes. “Looking back, there was a lot of us that looked at his body language and how touchy and handsy he is with her, and I kinda just gave him a little bit of a hall pass. “Oh, it's West!’” Cooke said. “Candidly, his Watch What Happens and his confessionals from last week's episode, I could not believe that he went there.”

Cooke confirmed that he’s heard from Wilson since the announcement, although he described Wilson’s correspondence as “some half-*ssed text” that “was just word salad.” He encouraged fans to ease up on Batula amid the news and to rethink supporting Wilson.

“I understand people have all sorts of opinions, and I'm not justifying any behavior, but from what I'm seeing she's kind of getting cyberbullied. And at the end of the day, all I know is West seems to be the kind of guy playing multiple women at the same time,” Cooke said. “And somehow 50,000 people have decided West deserves their follow, and meanwhile they're just lighting up Amanda. I just feel bad. Amanda knows what she did was wrong and she's trying to come to terms with it.”
