Katy Perry made quite the entrance as one of the co-hosts for the 2017 Met Gala earlier this month.

Designed by John Galliano, the "Bon Appétit" singer's bejewled red gown fit well with the theme of the night, which was Comme des Garçons, the high-fashion label founded by Tokyo designer Rei Kawakubo.

While her dress -- and even more so, her headpiece -- made quite the statement at one of the most fashionable night's of the year, one has to wonder how practical such an ensemble is for, you know, basic things like going to the bathroom.

Lucky for us, Perry isn't shy. The 32-year-old stopped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" recently to talk about her upcoming album and answer a few pressing questions about her new haircut and Met Gala look.

After the host pointed out it had to be difficult to do much of anything in the dress she wore, particularly use the restroom, Perry revealed,

You know there was a lot of self-control, practice and GoGirls. You know those little contraptions where you then get to urinate standing up?

If you've never heard of GoGirls, you aren't alone. DeGeneres had lots of questions. Perry explained,

I've used them in several music videos because I always find myself in this predicament where I have a very extravagant, lavish, unrealistic, unpractical costume on. That's just me, I guess.

Still not satisfied with what GoGirls actually is, DeGeneres made the pop star try again. So Perry continued,

It's just like a nozzle that you can like... well, that you can put around you... anyways...

OK, yeah, I'm still a bit confused even after looking up the product, but the good news is you can get one for cheap -- just $9.99 at Target.

Thanks for the tip, Katy! While I typically prefer dresses that are slightly less complicated, perhaps when Anna Wintour invites me to the Met Gala I'll give this a whirl.

The singer also discussed her new pixie cut, saying it was actually a result of dyeing her hair too blonde and it starting to fall out.

"So, that's the way I handled it," she said. Although, she admitted now that it's done she's really liking her new 'do, which we're definitely going to be seeing a lot more of in the next few months.

This appearance on "Ellen" really marks the beginning of the media tour surrounding the June 9 release of her new album.

You can go ahead and get excited for the new album by watching the music video for "Bon Appétit" that dropped last week. It's, uh, interesting.
