A source revealed to People,
It wasn't a dramatic split. Bomba is a good guy, but the relationship just ran its course.
Elite Daily reached out to Lovato's reps but did not hear back at time of publishing.
The duo were first linked back in July of 2016 and gradually took their relationship PDA to social media at the beginning of this year.
In March, the 24-year-old singer posted a Snapchat selfie with a very blingy ring on a very special finger, sparking engagement rumors.
Just three weeks ago, the 31-year-old MMA fighter posted a sweet couple selfie, captioning it,
I miss you soo much!
Despite all the adorable posts giving the internet couple goals, the Confident singer revealed she was just trying to keep things casual. A couple months ago, she told Entertainment Weekly,
I'm just having fun, you know? And my life is in a really good place right now. [Bomba] makes me laugh.
It makes sense the "Camp Rock" alum would want to keep things casual. She did date Wilmer Valderrama for six whole years, after all. That's, like, a really really long time -- especially considering she's STILL only 24.
Messy breakups don't seem to be Lovato's thing, though. In fact, last year, Valderrama shared the sweetest, most mature message for his ex, saying,
Honestly, I only wish nothing but the most incredible things for her.
Even with this most recent split, Lovato does seem to be having an incredible year and recently celebrated a huge milestone: five years of sobriety.
Speaking on her sobriety, she told Ellen DeGeneres,
It means so much to me because I feel like the day that I got sober was the day that I actually started living and so I like to call myself 5 years old. I've decided to be open about my story and share everything that I've been through because it helps others.
We -- the people of the internet -- hate to see such cute couples call it quits, but hopefully, Lovato and Bomba can stay amicable exes and each keep doing their thing.
