EVERYONE knows men are from Mars, and women are from Venus, and because of that, we aren't always going to "get" each other.
That said, not fully understanding how the opposite sex operates can prove to be difficult when you're dating someone, and you can't figure out what's up with them.
My boyfriend always asks me, "What's your deal?" which I always take as an insult (duh) and make it a reason to pick a fight. But what he's really getting at is, "What's going on? What am I missing?"
Though I hate to admit it, miscommunication can go both ways, and as much as I like to pretend I know the secrets to every human experience, there are some mysteries even the most observant of women can't nail down.
Here are a few things male Reddit users wish women would "get" about them that we just keep messing up:
HOT TIP: They aren't always going to want to do whatever you want to do.
And they are entitled to "alone time," whatever that means.
They also want us to take them at face value.
They don't need anything too fancy-shmancy to make them happy.
They want us to know a joke is a JOKE.
But deep down, they want us to know they love us, too.
At the end of the day, men are pretty straight-forward creatures. If we can all just stop projecting and start listening, maybe — just maybe — we'll all get on the same page eventually.
