Yoga pants are a lady's ass's best friend. We go everywhere in them.
From doing our best “Anaconda” in spin class and running over to Trader Joe's for grocery shopping to slipping them under over-the-knee boots, we love spandex and spandex loves us back.
But, like every other relationship, hanging out with only each other has its downsides, and this one is a real pain in the ass.
Spending too much time in your yoga pants can lead to "buttne," aka acne on your badonk. Hmm, maybe that's why we start to itch when we wear them for too long...?
New York Magazine reports that there has been a recent surge in dermatologist visits for buttne.
Yoga pants are tight and sweaty. They cling to your bum even if you're not lying in them. Bacteria and sweat are trapped under there as well, hanging out on your butt and clogging your pores.
After extended periods of time, the overgrowth of bacteria can cause acne. Yummy.
Girls, we need to learn to take care of our behinds. Fight the temptation to pop a booty blemish. Doing so will only make it worse.
Making your ass shine with oils and lubricants like Kim Kardashian's is probably not a good idea, either.
If your buttne is turning you down instead of up, try a medicated body wash with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Don't let it stop you from working out your butt, though. Nobody puts booty in a corner.
