If you think Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen let themselves go on vacation, think again.
The superstar couple is already known for sticking faithfully to a seemingly joyless diet, but no one eats the same when on vacation.
So, one would expect for the Brady Bündch diet to change a little when the family goes away to their vacation home in Costa Rica. The question is, how much?
In a recent interview with Well+Good, the answer to that question was provided by Joanne Gerrard Young, who has been a personal chef to the famous couple for the past five years, specifically on their travels to Costa Rica.
Here are a few quotes the chef gave on the subject.
First, Young said they go on a raw-heavy diet while also separating grains and proteins.
They don't always do raw, but since it's so easy to do in Costa Rica, we do a 80/20 raw diet, with big colorful salads and lots of fresh veggies.
The couple saves their biggest meals for lunch, eats small dinners and for dessert...
They didn't want to do desserts anymore, for healthy eating purposes, but I shared all of my raw vegan desserts with them and they love them and have them all the time.
And you can't forget the juice cleanse.
G' likes to eat vegetarian sometimes, so we'll do a grain separate from the protein, and she's totally into juice cleanses, so she'll do about one per year.
So, what do their meals look like?
Young provided an example of what a typical brunch might look like for Tom and Gisele, and it included:
- Superfood Green Smoothie with pineapple, mango, papaya and starfruit
- Swiss Chard Summer Rolls with Sweet & Spicy Almond Sauce
- Pineapple Cucumber Gazpacho
- Creamy Coconut noodles with Creamy Coconut Sauce
- Coconut Mango Cream Pie with Coconut Cream Filling
Young also provided the full directions and ingredients for that meal, in case you want to make it yourself. As for Gisele and Tom, well, they'll probably live 'til forever if they keep up this diet.
