Sound the cute couple alarm, please! The new heartthrob duo of Sam Smith and Brandon Flynn is taking over the streets of New York City. We've been adoring the photos of Sam Smith and Brandon Flynn basically becoming the couple we always wanted to be a part of in high school. They're holding hands, swapping smooches, and looking dreamy.

The relationship is fairly new from what we can tell, as the two only recently began popping up together as of this week. A few days ago, Smith and Flynn were spotted walking around New York City's Greenwich Village arm-in-arm and mouth-on-mouth. Then, on Oct. 3, they checked out the popular Broadway show Dear Evan Hansen.

The relationship might come a little bit out of nowhere for anyone following Sam Smith and his music closely. Just as recently as last month, he said he was "insanely single."

Interesting, for someone who does love-ballads soooo well.

While visiting Beats 1 to talk about his new single, Smith said,

I'm still very, very single. I think I'm even more single than I was when I released [my first album] In the Lonely Hour, so I'm insanely single.

Doesn't look that way anymore. In fact, it looks like you are insanely involved with Brandon, Sam.

Get a good look world. Take it all in.

1. Here they are smoochin'.

2. Here they are lookin' across the street, bein' all cute.

3. Here they are peekin' at some memes or texts or somethin'.

4. Here they are holdin' hands and doin' all the above.

Looks pretty freaking amazing to me! ***Holds hands with my own foot***

We know that Sam Smith has been out since the beginning of his career, but Flynn hasn't been

Flynn recently made mention of LGBTQ rights on Instagram when he posted a passionate image with a caption about the all-encompassing "Us." Sharing a photo of a rainbow equality flag, Brandon typed the message,

Just saw the "vote no" message in the sky, looming over Sydney. Thank you for raising money and hiring on a plane to write your lack of support amongst the clouds. I hope your hate and lack of understanding fades, just like those words will. Too many of my friends have been kicked out of their homes, kept in the closet, beat up, killed, ridiculed by church and state, institutionalized... and you are scared that if we vote YES, you won't be able to show your hate for Us. Fuck that. We've been scared shitless our whole lives thanks to all the stigmas that surround Us, stigmas that were set in place by the same kind of people who flew that plane over Sydney. We've fought, we've come out bravely even in our fear, and you wrote a message in the sky because you're scared. Equality takes courage, it worries me that too many people in this world lack the balls to stand up for what is right. #f*ckhate

Smith commented with a single "x."

Flynn also shared a picture from the couple's Broadway date night, although he didn't include any hint at Smith being there.

He posted a photo of Dear Evan Hansen swag with a gushing review of the show.

Insanely beautiful story telling. In awe of what happened on that stage last night. Shows like this make me so excited to be a story teller, food for my heart and soul. If you haven't seen it, G-O-N-O-W! And catch @bensplatt generously give his heart, body, and soul! To the whole cast and crew of @dearevanhansen keep doing what you do!

We are looking forward to see what amazing things fall will bring these two! Maybe sweater weather snuggles?! Pumpkin Spice Latté kisses?! ICE-SKATING?!

The opportunities for this amazing couple are endless.
