5 Undeniable Things Every Pumpkin-Flavored Fanatic Has In Common
October and November are the two months of the year when the pumpkin-flavored fanatic is in their prime. It's the time of year when stores appease us, the pumpkins are plentiful, and there's really no shame whatsoever to be had about your pumpkin obsession. Basically, it's the most acceptable time of year to be so into fall that you don't really talk about much else. If you love pumpkin spice, there are some things you can seriously relate to.
How do you know you're one of us? It's pretty easy to tell. The chosen pumpkin lovers know that pumpkin isn't just a phase; it's a way of life. It's not even seasonal. If we could eat and drink all things pumpkin-flavored year-round, trust us, we would. There's something just so great about the autumnal vegetable. It's savory, delicious, and sweet, and it's absolutely perfect every way in between. Sounding like something you'd say? I might as well break the news to you — it looks like you're a pumpkin-flavored fanatic.
So, get comfy and stay tuned. There are some things that just about every pumpkin-flavored fanatic does. It's who we are! You could say it's in our blood (or at least in our stomachs). These five things will have you shaking your head and saying, "relatable," in no time. Warning: These will also most likely really bring on some major pumpkin cravings.
01You Just Can't Avoid The Pumpkin Spice Latte
Every year, you know it's coming. Every year, you know how basic it is to order it, especially on the first day it comes out. But still, each year, you find yourself in line, about to order your usual coffee, and instead automatically say, "I'll take a Pumpkin Spice Latte."
Really, self?! It's basically a survival instinct. No matter what you do, you can't avoid your fix of the #PSL. It's a pumpkin-flavored fanatic's one true love.
02Putting The "Pumpkin" Label On Anything Immediately Makes You Want To Buy It
You know it's a trap. You know everything getting labeled "pumpkin spice-flavored" and "pumpkin-flavored" every autumn may very well be a marketing ploy. But, you wouldn't have it any other way, and you fall for it every single time. It could be your least favorite food, but if it's pumpkin-flavored, it's going home with you.
Oh, branding and advertising people, you know me so well. I can't resist a good pumpkin, well, anything.
03Your Pumpkin Candles Are An Actual Fall Staple
Every pumpkin lover knows the pumpkin doesn't just stop with your kitchen cupboards. No, of course not. The pumpkin inside the fridge has to match the pumpkin aroma inside the house, so that means every room in your place is set up with a pumpkin-scented candle for extra seasonal spirit.
No one's judging. In fact, my fall nighttime routine definitely includes lighting my pumpkin candle after dinner to get in the festive mood. You have to make the most of the season somehow, and letting a day go by without your fall candle is a huge no-no.
04You Have A Bucket List Of Pumpkin Treats To Try
Pumpkin pie? Of course. Pumpkin butter? Can't be bad. Pumpkin hummus? OK, I can be here for that. Pumpkin-flavored pasta sauce? Bring it on.
You literally do not turn down anything related to or flavored with pumpkin. It's just not in your vocabulary. And you know you're making a good choice, because not once can you think of a time when you tried something pumpkin-flavored and hated it. Pumpkin has never let you down, and probably never will.
05The Pumpkin Season Feels Way Too Short
No matter how much you take advantage of the wonder and beauty of fall (aka pumpkin season), it always comes to a bitter end. One day, you're grocery shopping with a million pumpkin options, and the next thing you know, the world has moved on and there's no pumpkin to be seen.
The world comes crashing down around you, but everyone else moves on to peppermint and candy canes and all of their Christmas cheer. You're left pulling yourself together, waiting it out for next year when pumpkin comes back to you. But for you, pumpkin, I'll wait as long as I need to.
