Sarah Hyland's Instagram Might Finally Prove She & Wells Are A Couple
This week's biggest story in celebrity relationship news is undoubtedly that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are back together. I'll be honest, if it were 2012, I might be interested in this, but it's 2017, and, quite frankly, there are more important things to read about like the fact that Modern Family's Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams from The Bachelorette are apparently dating.
That's right, in a year where the news cycle has been filled with nothing but garbage *THIS * my friends, is exactly the breath of fresh air we need. Though neither Hyland nor Adams has confirmed they're in a relationship, their Instagrams and interactions online seem to provide all the proof we need that they're dating and I, for one, am psyched about it.
Rumors that these two started dating began over the summer during the premiere of Bachelor in Paradise Season 4 when Sarah Hyland — who is, like all of us at home, a famously big Bachelor nation fan — tweeted at Wells. The actress was just as surprised as we all were to see the former Bachelorette contestant show up in paradise, this time around as the bartender.
Hyland tweeted at the bachelor in all caps with her surprised/excited reaction, saying, "OH MY GOD @WellsAdams IS THE FRIKKIN BARTENDER?! Best. Season. Ever. #BachelorInParadise."
Of course, Wells couldn't let this opportunity pass him up, so he responded to Sarah's tweet with his own playful message where he wrote, "Taking applications for #BIP5 bar backs now. Please send references..Preferably from Phil Dunphy. I'm kidding the job is yours @SarahHyland."
TBH, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a little DM action that went on between the two after this — you know, some more light flirting, exchanging of numbers, etc. Whatever the case, this exchange definitely sparked something.
Since then, these two have kept a pretty low profile and haven't been on each other's social media pages... that is until this past Halloweekend when Sarah Hyland posted pics on her Instagram of the two in a... wait for it... Stranger Things-themed couples costume. The pics show Wells in a classic Eleven look, Eggos and all, with Sarah by his side dressed up as Dustin (no word on whether her costume included his new "pearls").
Hyland posted the first two pics earlier this week, and neither seems to hint at anything more than a friendship between the actress and the reality star (I mean, Eleven and Dustin are just friends, after all).
But a third pic posted later in the week by the actress shows the two getting a bit closer, and definitely makes it seem like these two might be an item.
Have you ever seen anything more wholesome and adorable?! This is a relationship I can get behind.
Sarah's not the only one posting Halloween pics on Instagram, though. Wells took to his page to post a photo of himself and his "friend" Sarah from over the weekend with the playful caption, "Me: I look like Jim Morrison! Sarah: You look like your Mom #happyhalloween."
Wells even spoke about his "new lady" on his podcast, Your Favorite Things Podcast with Wells & Brandi, with co-host Brandi Cyrus. Though he never mentions his mystery woman by name, he does say that he "likes this person" and that he's not seeing anyone else. I guess for now we'll just have to wait and hope this really is true.
Couple or not, these two look like they enjoy spending tome together and make each other happy and that's all that matters. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for a Wells cameo on Modern Family.
