Trump Said Avoiding STDs Was 'Personal Vietnam,' But Dodged Actual Draft

There seems to be a never-ending stream of footage that reveals Donald Trump's true colors.

So far, the picture is only getting uglier as the election draws closer.

A video from 1998 was released in which Trump said he was a "brave soldier" for avoiding STDs when he was single in the late '90s. This was during one his many interviews with Howard Stern.

Though this video surfaced a while back, in light of recent commentary and sexual assault allegations, it's become more ironic than ever.

He said,

It's amazing, I can't even believe it. I've been so lucky in terms of that whole world, it is a dangerous world out there. It's like Vietnam, sort of [...] It is my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave solider.

Stern then recalled a conversation he and Trump had in private about how women's vaginas are like land mines.

When referring to vaginas, Trump said,

There's some real danger there.

Um, excuse me?

OK, Howard Stern is known to be crass, but that comment is just gross.

Luckily, he's not the one running for president. Unfortunately, Donald Trump is.

And let's not forget the presidential candidate doesn't even know what real war is like. He deferred being drafted five times.

He avoided being drafted at the age of 22 after graduating from college in 1968 because of bone spurs in his heels. Before that diagnosis, he was actually really healthy and athletic. He had even played football, tennis and squash and was taking up golf.

The next four times, he deferred because of education.

So no, Trump was not one of the millions of men who fought in Vietnam. He has no idea what it's like to fight in a war for our country.

In addition to that fact, he's said some incredibly insensitive things about veterans in the past.

For example, he insulted Senator John McCain in regard to his war record and time spent as a POW in Vietnam. He said,

He's not a war hero. He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren't captured.

Trump has also said veterans with PTSD aren't "strong" enough for combat and implied they are too weak to "handle" combat.

Then, he enraged people all over the world when he insulted the family of Captain Humayun Khan, a Muslim American soldier who fought in Iraq and died in 2004.

I don't know why I'm so shocked that Trump would think of himself as a "brave soldier" for having lots of sex when he was single.

Like I said, there seems to be an endless amount of proof that he has no idea how to be respectful to women.

There are 23 days left until the election, which means there is plenty of time for more footage like this to resurface.
