23 Hilarious Tweets About Trump's Nuclear Threats, Because We All Need A Laugh

Alright, sure, a bunch of people seem to be freaking out about rising tensions between the United States and North Korea. President Donald Trump's typically outrageous language could have very real and, uh, deadly effects in this situation. But in times of panic, we need to think about what matters. Namely, we need to focus all our attention on hilarious tweets about Trump's nuclear threats.

Tensions have been rising since it was reported on Aug. 8 that North Korea has missile-ready nuclear weapons. This was followed up by Trump saying that North Korea will "be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen" if they threaten the United States, which was followed by North Korea threatening Guam. That, in turn, was followed by Secretary of State Rex Tillerson saying that "Americans should sleep well at night" and Trump's language sounded violent just to be heard loud and clear. And, well, that was followed by Trump essentially saying "nope, I EXTRA meant that violent language" on Thursday, Aug. 10.

Basically we've got Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jung Un shouting threats about nukes at each other across the globe, which almost sounds like the plot of The Interview except that this is real life, somehow?

Obviously we're not actually sure where, if anywhere, these threats will lead. But at least, for now, we've got some dank tweets.

Lots of folks, including Cher, mused on the situation we're in right now and tried to figure out what was going on.
