8 Halloween Costumes You Can Actually Wear Again Once The Day Is Over

If you're like me, you have a ton of old Halloween costumes that you only wore once. They sit in the back of your closet, and maybe you occasionally pull them out for a costume party, but they really are only good for one use. Especially, those topical costumes that are quickly forgotten. It can totally feel like a bridesmaids dress that you put a lot of money in, and you get one use out of it. However, unlike the bridesmaids dress where you get zero say, your Halloween costume is all on you. So, what are some Halloween costumes you can wear again?

The best option is if you go for a character that everyone loves who wears normal clothes you also want to wear regularly. That is an easy one. There's also some super easy costumes that are funny and don't require too much of a "costume" at all. You truly will feel like you hit the jackpot when you wear a costume on Halloween that everyone loves, and you can turn around and wear again tomorrow if you really wanted to with zero strange looks.

If you're having a hard time coming up with some great ones, here are eight Halloween costumes you can actually wear again IRL.

1. Holly Golightly

You can't go wrong with just a black dress, which is exactly what Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany's wears. After looking fabulous on Halloween, you can wear this dress to a date or for work. Everyone needs an LBD.

2. Baby from Dirty Dancing

Nobody puts Baby in a corner, and you don't have to throw this costume in the back of your closet in November. Just a simple, cute pink dress instantly makes the costume. You can wear this all summer because it's a fun color.

3. Tina Belcher

This whole costume I would wear again the next day. Tina Belcher from Bob's Burgers has a great look. Plus, any part of this outfit you can wear again in real life.

4. Hipster Ariel

Hipster Ariel from The Little Mermaid is a fun costume that is outside of the box. You just need to find clothes in your own closet that match Ariel's color scheme. You can even dye your hair, so you don't have to buy a red wig that is a one-time use.

5. Sunburnt Tourists

This is a fun one that requires you just to dig in the back of your closet for your vacation clothes. Just add some self tanner or bronzer, and there you have it: a sunburnt tourist. Don't forget the socks and sandals for that extra oomph.

6. Where's Waldo?

You just need a red and white striped shirt, blue jeans, glasses, and a beanie. It's as simple as that, and any part of this outfit can be worn anytime of year. The only downside is you might get a bunch of people at whatever party you're at saying, "I found you" all night, but that's a simple problem for having a year-round costume.

7. Wednesday Addams

Here's another one where just a simple black dress will do. You just need a black dress, white collar, and those two braids. There you have it, you're spooky Wednesday Addams with an outfit you'd wear regularly.

8. When In Doubt, Disney Bound

Disney Bound is an easy way to wear normal clothes and still have a costume. All you have to do is find looks in your own closet that can be thrown together to look like your favorite Disney character. There are so many looks on the site that you can get inspired by to build your own Disney Bound look. And the bonus is, it's all things in your closet that you already wear normally, so you can pull off these looks 365 days a year.
