Kanye West Spent An Insane Amount Of Money On The 'Famous' Wax Figures

Look, we all know Kanye West is a true baller in every sense of the term (except for playing actual basketball). Earlier this year, the rapper purchased a brand new Mercedes Maybach for over $250,000.

And, if you're a TRUE Kanye fan, you've known about West's extravagant spending habits since the Graduation days back in 2007. He rapped,

I had a dream I could buy my way to heaven. When I awoke, I spent that on a necklace.

It didn't stop there, either.

I feel the pressure, under more scrutiny. And what'd I do? Act more stupidly. Bought more jewelry, more Louis V. My Momma couldn't get through to me.

That's why I'm not the least bit surprised about what Kanye paid for the wax figures in his oh-so-controversial music video, "Famous," the first single off the Life of Pablo album.

According to Life & Style, West spent over $750,000 on JUST the wax figures. That's right, these notorious wax figures of your favorite celebrities, like Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Amber Rose, Chris Brown, Caitlyn Jenner and more, cost more than your annual salary -- tripled.

I'm confused. Isn't this the same guy who said he was $53 million in debt... ?

An inside source told the magazine,

Kanye paid over $750,000 for the wax figures.

HUH. $750,000 on just the wax figures? I can't help but wonder how long it took to make these wax figures... And are they made out of solid gold or something?! The source revealed,

It took over six months to make them and Kanye was involved in all stages of development of the figures. At one point, the music video shoot was delayed six weeks because Kanye wasn't happy with how the figures looked.

Kanye spent a few Ferraris worth of cash on 12 wax figures but didn't like the way they came out so he delayed the crap out of his own video. If that isn't the most Kanye move (of ALL time), I'm not really sure what is.

Perhaps the most confusing thing about all of this? Kanye's favorite wax figure was the one representing Caitlyn Jenner.

Kanye became obsessed with the anatomy of Caitlyn Jenner's wax figure. He never consulted Caitlyn, though. He just took the liberty of using her image for the video.

Um, OKAY, Kanye.
