Hailee Steinfeld & Josh Allen Welcome Baby No. 1

Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen are officially parents. The couple announced the exciting update in Steinfeld’s Substack newsletter, Beau Society, on April 2. “Special delivery... Grateful and blessed,” Steinfeld wrote, pairing the announcement with artwork of a stork delivery a baby, wrapped in a white blanket with a pink heart.

“Our baby girl has arrived!!” the couple wrote in the newsletter. “We’re feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and [savoring] these early moments. Thank you so much for the love and well wishes. Love, Hailee and Josh.”

As of publication, they haven’t shared any photos of their daughter or details about her name. They also have kept quiet on her exact birth date, but it was likely in the past two weeks, considering Michael B. Jordan dropped a hint at the Oscars on March 15. After taking home the prize for Best Actor, he gave his Sinners co-star a shoutout. “Hailee at home, you know she’s getting ready to have a baby right now,” he said. “Thank you so much for being the other half of Stack.”

Steinfeld announced her pregnancy back in December 2025, six months after their May 31, 2025 wedding. At the time, Steinfeld shared another Substack article to celebrate her 29th birthday (and drop that bombshell). “29 moments I loved this year... in no particular order,” she wrote. For her last item on the list, she simply wrote: “29. This video...,” adding in a short clip of her and Allen celebrating her pregnancy. In the video, the he kissed her baby bump, as they stood outside in the snow (plus, the actor and Buffalo Bills quarterback made a mini snowman in honor of their baby-to-be).

A month before announcing that she was expecting, Steinfeld dropped a hint to Bustle about their plans to start a family, explaining that she was “of course” thinking about having children with Allen. During the interview, she also gushed about their relationship and how it’s improved her life.

“That inner peace that you have, that rock, that solid, consistent part of your life is indescribable. I literally thank God every day that I found my person, and it’s the greatest thing in the world,” she said at the time. “Life makes sense. Everything makes sense. I feel like I am stepping into the version that I’ve always dreamed of being, having so much to do with being with him.”
