Here’s Everything Corinne Allegedly Remembers From That Night On ‘Bachelor In Paradise’
There's still a lot of fuzziness about what exactly went down on the Bachelor in Paradise set last week that led to the show suspending its production indefinitely, but now Corinne Olympios is opening up about what she does remember from that fateful day.
Apparently, the main thing Corinne supposedly remembers from the day in question is that she had been drinking a lot. According to a source who spoke with E! Online, the last thing Corinne remembers of that night is taking a shot of tequila. After that, she allegedly blacked out.
Elite Daily reached out to Corinne's team for comment on the matter and did not hear back by the time of publication.
Prior to the blackout, the source says Corinne recalls drinking throughout the day, including two cups of champagne on the limo ride to set, followed by a dirty martini and a couple shots of tequila.
She had reportedly only eaten a small breakfast, and that lack of food paired with the Mexican heat may very well have spurred the blackout along. Reportedly, Corinne fell down a staircase, and then face first into a hot tub during her blackout.
But Corinne doesn't have much to say about her fellow castmate DeMario Jackson. Following Bachelor in Paradise's suspension on accounts of "misconduct," reports came out that alleged DeMario and Corinne engaged in sexual activity at a time during which Corinne could allegedly not give consent.
According to E!'s source, Corinne says she had nothing to do with the complaint that wound up suspending production on the show and reportedly does not remember anything that may have happened between her and DeMario, nor has she been able to see footage of the incident yet.
Corinne released a statement to TMZ last week describing her horror and confusion surrounding the events of the night:
I am a victim and have spent the last week trying to make sense of what happened on June 4. Although I have little memory of that night, something bad obviously took place, which I understand is why production on the show has now been suspended and a producer on the show has filed a complaint against the production. As a woman, this is my worst nightmare and it has now become my reality. As I pursue the details and facts surrounding that night and the immediate days after, I have retained a group of professionals to ensure that what happened on June 4 comes to light and I can continue my life, including hiring an attorney to obtain justice and seeking therapy to begin dealing with the physical and emotional trauma stemming from that evening.
For his part, DeMario responded to allegations against him by denying any malicious involvement and preparing to take legal action, per his statement to E! Online:
It's unfortunate that my character and family name has been assassinated this past week with false claims and malicious allegations. I will be taking swift and appropriate legal action until my name is cleared and, per the advice of legal counsel, will be seeking all available remedies entitled to me under the laws.
As for the future of Bachelor in Paradise following this suspended production, things don't look too promising. Rumors have been spreading online that this current season will likely not pick up again, and even that the series as a whole may be axed.
Warner Bros. gave Elite Daily the following statement about the future of the show in the aftermath of the incident:
We have become aware of allegations of misconduct on the set of Bachelor in Paradise in Mexico. We have suspended production and we are conducting a thorough investigation of these allegations. Once the investigation is complete, we will take appropriate responsive action.
