The 2017 BET Awards are right around the corner, scheduled to broadcast this Sunday, June 25 at 8 p.m. EST on BET.

The lineup of performers set to take the stage is pretty impressive, including Mary J. Blige, A$AP Rocky, Bruno Mars, DJ Khaled, Migos, Future, and Gucci Mane, just to name a few. And Leslie Jones is set to host the show!

But will Beyoncé be there?

At last year's awards show, she gave an unforgettable performance when she took the stage with Kendrick Lamar in a pool of water the size of the stage itself to perform "Freedom" from Lemonade.

This performance was just one of the many iconic awards show performances the queen put on during 2016, a year I prefer to call "the Lemonade era" because talking about the other sh*t that went down that year still makes my eyes twitch.

Hahahahahaha, I'm fine, shut up.

Fans thought it was one of the queen's best performances ever. And it's hard to argue with that, honestly.

Beyoncé leads in BET nominations this year with seven nominations for Lemonade. Bruno Mars is in second with five nominations, and Solange (!!!) and Chance the Rapper (also !!!) are both nominated for four. Chance the Rapper will also be receiving the Humanitarian Award, and New Edition will be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Although she is up for the most nominations, Beyoncé literally just gave birth to twins last week, so that's probably going to lock in her absence at the show this year, and there haven't been any hints that she would be attending, anyway.

Plus, in case you didn't know, childbirth is, like, really f*cking hard and painful and magical and, did I mention painful? So the mama of three deserves to rest and to spend this time getting to know her twins with Jay and Blue.

So I'm sorry, fam, but last year's performance will just have to suffice until next year because Beyoncé is busy. She can't come to the phone right now. Please don't leave a message, the twins are probably sleeping.
