Mindy Kaling Finally Speaks Out About Pregnancy In New Interview: I'm "Really Excited"

Mindy Kaling, our queen of comedy and overall badass boss lady, is back in the media with more baby news. And we all know baby news is the greatest kind of news. E! News broke Mindy Kaling's pregnancy news in July of 2017, but Kaling is finally speaking out about it for the first time. In a new clip, Kaling talks about her feelings toward parenting. Kaling admits she's "really excited." The star explained,

It's so unknown to me. I have a lot of control over a lot of aspects of my life, and this is one where I'm like, 'OK, it's out of my hands,' which is kind of a fun feeling.

God, she's going to make a great mother. Kaling has yet to reveal the sex of the baby, but I'm personally hoping it's a girl, and she's exactly like her mom. The world would be a better place with a baby Mindy Kaling running around. Just imagine. Kaling is also looking forward to being part of the mom's club. She jokes,

As you know, it's so easy to criticize parenting until you're a parent, so one of the nice things about becoming a parent is that I'll be able to openly criticize other parenting because I'll have a child.

Kaling also mentioned her mother, who sadly died of pancreatic cancer in 2012.

My mom was incredibly fierce and so devoted to us, just loved us and really wanted us to be happy no matter what we did. My career choice was not something that she was familiar with and she was just so supportive of that. If I could give that to my child, just that open-mindedness, I'd be so happy.
