You think Britney Spears would just let Kanye and Taylor have all the fun at the VMAs this year?

We don't think so, anyway.

Here's why.

The 34-year-old pop star is back, bitch, and this time she has an album.

Two weeks after she dropped that banging single "Make Me" on us, she tweet-announced her ninth studio album, "Glory," which will hit Apple Music this August 26.

Hmm, August 26, you say? As in, the very same August 26 that comes two days before the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards? Very INTERESTING...

Not to mention the fact Britney conveniently just canceled two of her shows, one on August 26 and one on August 27, aka the VMAs weekend.

@britneyspears had canceled her 8/26 and 8/27 #PieceOfMe shows, and @vmas are 28/8... Suspicious pic.twitter.com/gP2W2e7Ti2 — Mr.Spearskatic (@misterspears) August 3, 2016

Hmmm, almost like she needed the time to rehearse for a certain performance for a certain awards shows. VERY INTERESTING INDEED!

OK, let me just cut to the chase: Britney Spears is almost definitely planning something for the VMAs.

I mean, album release date and tour cancelations aside, it's Britney. You can't have a VMAs without Britney.

From her "Oops I Did It Again" performance to kissing Madonna to that giant-ass snake — Britney has always been an essential part of the MTV Video Music Awards.

C'mon, you know it's true: Britney is a VMA legend.

Personally I'm looking forward to whatever she has in store for us more than anything else about this year's show.

Taylor, who?
