It's Valentine's Day, and you're stuck with a loser beyond repair who wants to post Instagrams of the two of you snuggling in bed while eating chocolates out of a heart-shaped box, but you want — no, NEED — to dump him.
You've got to do something, and you've got to act fast.
Well, if you live in New York City, you're in luck!
A new Snapchat filter is making it easier than ever for you to dump someone on Valentine's Day.
The new filter appeared today on every New Yorker's phone. At the top of the filter, it reads, "UN/HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY." On the bottom of the filter, it reads, "IT'S OVER BECAUSE" followed by these four options:
1. "You're not bae."
2. "You're too basic."
3. "You're not woke."
4. "All of the above."
See it in action for yourself below:
Why is this so groundbreaking and awesome? Allow me to break it down for you.
The age-old "he thinks he's my Valentine, but IDGAF about him" debacle is a serious problem.
Maybe you guys have been hooking up for a while, and you thought it was a little more casual than your partner did.
Maybe you hooked up for the first time awkwardly close to Valentine's Day.
Whatever the case, you're in a jam.
Or should I say, YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN IN A JAM IF THIS DOPE SNAPCHAT FILTER DIDN'T EXIST!
In an age where ghosting is officially in the English dictionary, this Snapchat filter is honestly a breath of fresh air that will save us all.
In one quick, 10-second (or less) selfie, you get all the info you need: 1) the fact that it's over, and 2) the reason why it's over.
Then you, as the recipient, can go ahead and block them on all of your social media channels like any strong, sassy millennial would, reload Bumble and get back in the game!
Sure, it's a crappy way to get dumped, but at least you know where you guys stand.
If that's not a clean break, I don't know what is.
