If You're Sexually Attracted To Glitter Rainbows, You're A 'Holosexual'

No matter what the age, it's hard to argue the thrill one gets when exposed to glitter.

Dousing yourself in the sparkly material as a kid was a regular occurrence, but even as grown ups, sequins, metallics and anything reflective still makes some of us just so damn happy.

Well, being drawn in by all that glitz and glimmer may mean more than you think.

You could be... holosexual. No, autocorrect did not alter "homo" to "holo." I speak no lies. Holosexual, my friends, is a real thing. Just ask Ke$ha — I bet she knows what's up.

Holosexual ("holo" is short for hologram) is defined as "someone who is sexually attracted to holographic things," according to Metro.co.uk. That could range all the way from extensive nail porn and art projects to gift wrapping and iPhone cases.

Basically, all the things glitter and rainbow and holographic make holosexuals feel super good inside. And with all of those glittery beauty products out there, I bet holosexuals get distracted a lot.

To determine if an item is indeed holographic, all you have to do is squint at it and look for any light diffraction. If the reflective image gives off a mishmash of rainbow colors, you've got yourself something holographic!

Rub it. Kiss it. Love it. Do what you must, you holosexual, you.

I'm not sure if the holosexual concept is just a permanent trend or passing fad, but I hope it's here to stay.

Still confused about what being a holosexual means? This video gives a pretty good rundown:

Love is love, people. If you find yourself attracted to that overpriced shiny lip gloss or the twinkle that comes off a skirt's material, just embrace it. Find yourself other holosexuals and form a glitter rainbow-obsessed clique.

Throw glitter on your face, form a fan club and then invite me, please.

Trust me, there are people out there who are into much weirder things than holograms and brightly colored objects. I'm surprised this wasn't established as a term sooner.

Holosexuals, I support you.
