If you’re an everyday Pinterest user, and an everyday online shopper… this new technology pertains to you. Unless a user has pinned a photo directly from a retailer’s website, it can sometimes be difficult to find where to purchase an item you saw and liked on Pinterest.
Zappos has been making strides to fix this little problem by implementing PinPointing, a service which will recommend Zappos products based on Pinterest boards and pins. The beauty of this is, the service doesn’t restrict itself to Zappos products on Pinterest. Similar to a “shop this look” service, PinPointing will be a companion to Pinterest.
I’m very excited to see how this service will work.
