Isabel Marant Opens Melrose Place Boutique

The wait is finally over for the fashion forward west-coasters. The Isabel Marant Melrose Place boutique, who’s opening was first announced in March, opened today.

Isabel Marant, who does not open flagship locations very lightly (or, ever), is said to be in love with Los Angeles. “I fell totally in love with the city, with the landscape and the nature that is in the middle of the city. It was very surprising for me because I was not imagining that it was such a green city. Then, I thought I really wanted to have a shop there.”

Melrose Place claimed territory on the shop, instead of the popular Rodeo and Robertson shopping rues, because Marant felt the street, which is in fact greener, would be more private.

“I think it will be my favorite shop in the world, I would almost like to keep it as a house for myself.” Said Marant.

I have no doubt in my mind that this shop will be completely successful, especially when that much love goes into it.
