Is Galliano Seeking Damages?

I don’t think any of us will ever forget the day that we heard about John Galliano’s infamous rant. Although he’s taking steps in the right direction (Oscar de la Renta and Dole & Gabbana offer their support) it seems as if he hasn’t forgot about that infamous day either.

Reports have surfaced that Galliano may be issuing a lawsuit against his former employer Christian Dior Couture in the form of a employee/employer dispute claim. The suit is reportedly for $18.85 million (the US dollar equivalent to the Euro amount proposed).

Dior has failed to comment on the issue, and I can’t blame them. How embarrassing to be sued for that much by someone who wholeheartedly deserved to be fired? What do you think?
