This Inspiring Comedian With Cerebral Palsy Will Make You Rethink The Word 'Disability' (Video)

She's got 99 problems, and cerebral palsy is just one.

If you're looking for some inspiration or laughs to get you through this humpday, then you need to tune into comedian Maysoon Zayid's TED Talk.

Zayid discusses what it's like to be a member of a marginalized community (she's a female, Palestinian Muslim who is also disabled and — this is the real kicker — lives in New Jersey).

Although she's all jokes about her cerebral palsy, telling the audience that they've all dreamt of being disabled at one point or another (if for no other reason than to get that handicap parking space), Zayid imparts some serious wisdom about persevering through hardship and refusing to allow a disability dictate the way she lives her live.

Zayid might constantly shake — making her a self-proclaimed mix between "Shakira Shakira and Muhammad Ali" — but she said she never let that define her. Instead, she worked all the harder to live a (extra)ordinary life.

Even though a lot of people with cerebral palsy don't walk, she does so perfectly, in heels. And she's also tap danced on Broadway. Top that.
