How To Remove Winter Salt Stains From Your Shoes

by Ally Batista

Winter has multiple downsides, but the worst, by far, is salt stains on your shoes. I dread stepping out of the house in anything that isn’t in rubber or wellington form just to avoid these horrendous salt stains.

Wearing our favorite rain boots outside, however, can’t happen all the time. So how do we get rid of these pesky stains? By a little simple DIY’ing that’s how.

Mix half a cup of white vinegar with half a cup of warm water and dab the solution on your shoes with a paper towel. Brush out the mixture and let your shoes dry. If your shoes are leather, add some oil or polish afterwards to restore the leather’s shine.

And that’s it. Really, your shoes will look good as new! No need to thank me…
