This Girl Had No Idea What The Consequences Of Faking Her Period Would Be (Video)

If this delightful advertisement doesn't scare preteen girls into always being honest with their mothers, I don't know what will.

Watch this hilarious long-form advertisement, courtesy of the tampon service HelloFlo. Last summer the company released a similarly themed advertisement titled "Camp Gyno."

The video depicts a young girl who, devastated at the thought of being the last of her friends to get her period, fakes it to fit in. Her mother, not one to be duped, organizes a "First Moon Party" to celebrate (or rather, to get revenge).

She then asks her viewers with a deadpan expression:

Do you know how hard it was to find a uterus piñata?

This advertisement is comedic gold. Hell, I wouldn't mind attending a party like this. It looks like a super weird time, and it's a heck of a way to sell the embedded product, HelloFlo's Period Starter Kit.

In nothing else, this video will transport all female readers back to a simpler time when we hated our mothers and were embarrassed by everything they did (even if their embarrassing behavior never came close to the humiliation level of a first moon party.)
