The Female Friendly Cab Company

I’m not much of a feminist. Okay, I’m not at all, if you haven’t already been able to tell by my articles. Surprisingly enough though, this is one instance where I think that there should be equality, but not in the way that you think.

There’s a new cab service, called GetTaxi, which is a free app through which you can order a taxi directly from your phone. This company is also requiring its drivers to wait until their female customers are safely inside their destinations before driving away.

“We created this policy to allow our female passengers to feel even safer when taking a ride with us. No more worrying about your friends when they make their way home alone after a girls’ night out.” Said a statement of the company.

Here’s my problem, shouldn’t every cab driver do this. And shouldn’t every passenger be safely inside his or her destination, man or woman?

Maybe it’s just me, but I think this company is bullshit. What do you think?
