Is The World Ready For Virtual Fitting Rooms?

by Ally Batista

Have you been feeling that your shopping experience has been growing a bit outdated? If so, you’re in luck, because virtual fitting rooms exist, and are becoming a lot more common than you would think.

A clothing company in Taiwan has developed a state-of-the-art virtual fitting room that allows the shopper to find new styles of clothing and try them on, simply by touching a button.

Vismile is the name of the company who created such a product and they’re the first of their kind to do so. Vismile GM Jenan Huang said “the virtual fitting room, consumers no longer need to take all the clothes and try them on one by one, so it reduces the trouble for trying on.”

Does this process actually save time? Is it effective? Would you be willing to try it? The company says that the fitting room gives the consumer a 360-degree view of the clothing by superimposing garments directly onto a live image of her body. I have to admit, I may stick to my old outdated shopping habits.
