Splurge Vs. Save: Leather Peplum Top

Here at Elite Daily we believe in looking and feeling Elite everyday. There are many different ways to accomplish an Elitist style, but you don’t always have to break the bank in order to do so. With this idea I’ve decided to write a weekly article on ways to look Elite, whether you are on a budget, or have none.

This week’s Splurge vs. Save will center on an item that incorporates two of my favorite styles for this upcoming fall season: leather and peplum. A peplum silhouette creates a feminine curve in a flattering way, while the leather adds an edge and warmth that is appropriate for cold weather.

Splurge

This beautifully structured Theory Etia Leather Peplum Top features a V-neck neckline with a peplum hem and retails for $555.00 at Saks Fifth Avenue department stores.

Save

Almost identical to that of the splurge, the Vegan Leather Peplum Top from Piperlime is a mere $89.00 and the similarities are almost uncanny.

Both styles could be paired with a slim-cut skirt or pleated trousers and would look best with minimalist accessories. Which will you buy?
