When you think of the U.S. Postal Service, I’m sure that fashion is not the first term to come to mind. You’re probably more accustomed to hearing “that company that used to deliver paper mail but everything is on the Internet now and I’m pretty sure they’re going bankrupt” instead.

Which is why I’m confused by their next business venture. The U.S. Postal Service has made a pretty desperate decision to try and launch its own clothing line. The USPS announced the “new product line” of all weather “smart apparel” called “Rain Heat & Snow”.

Oh I get it, Ha ha, funny. Apparently, the USPS is actually going to try to create a clothing collection that will stand on its own, and be a legitimate name in the fashion industry. Good luck.

The USPS plans to open a store space in the Garment District to “showcase their apparel lines to the fashion industry. I don’t know what on earth this collection will look like, but I sure as hell can’t wait to see the look book.
