For those of you who don’t know, The Costume Institute, or more officially named The Museum of Costume Art, is a subsidiary of the Metropolitan Museum of Art known for containing more than 35,000 costumes and accessories. Each season they feature a limited edition exhibit, and this upcoming Spring’s is sure to be incredible.

Come May, The Costume Institute will premiere their exhibit “Punk: Chaos to Couture”. This exhibit’s goals are to highlight the genesis of the punk movement and it’s connections to the high fashion and ready-to-wear creations of the past thirty years.

The exhibit, which will be in session from May 9 to August 11th, will feature around 100 men’s and women’s designs which will juxtapose original punk looks to the high fashion creations that were inspired by them.

I personally, cannot wait for this exhibit. Can you?
