Cruelty Free Beauty Brands: Burt’s Bees

I guess I’ve never thought of natural or cruelty-free beauty products much, before this year that is. I’m not sure what has gotten into me, but I’ve been so fixated on only using natural and cruelty free beauty products as of late, and I have to admit, I’ve seen a huge improvement.

Burt’s Bees is most definitely not a new company. Their beeswax lip balm triggered their immense popularity (and was the victim of an obsession of mine) years ago, so it’s been fun to watch them expand to a multitude of products.

Burt’s Bees now offers a variety of 99-100% all natural hair, face and body products. The company is most certainly not hesitant to share every single one of their products ingredients, and that’s most reassuring for an all-natural freak like myself. Burt’s Bees does use a few animal derived ingredients in their products (beeswax, royal jelly, milk, to name a few) but they are also persistent in reassuring their customers that not one of their ingredients or finished products are tested on animals.

In addition to their natural benefits, Burt’s Bees also contributes to the environment by using the highest levels of post consumer recycled materials in their packaging. What’s not to love?
