At-Home Remedies: Skin Care

I’m always mixing up at-home remedies for beauty treatments on the weekends. Over the years I’ve accumulated a number of ‘recipes’ for various treatments and I’ve found that these are the most effective for at-home skin care.

Dull Skin

-1/2 ounce organic apple cider vinegar

-3 ounces mineral water

-5 plain aspirin tablets

Directions:

-Dilute ½ ounce of organic apple cider vinegar with 4 ounces of mineral water. Crush your aspirin and add to the water/vinegar mix. Apply when your skin feels dull.

Acne Scars

-4 teaspoons lemon juice

-3 teaspoons of plain yogurt

-4 tablespoons of honey

-1 egg white

Directions:

-Apply to your clean face, let sit for 15 minutes, rinse with warm water

Oily Skin

-2 tablespoons real mayonnaise

-1 teaspoon baby oil

Directions:

-Combine both ingredients, smooth onto your face, neck, rough elbows, and anywhere else that is feeling a bit dry. Leave on for 20 minutes and rinse.

Dry Skin

-1 avocado

-1 egg white

Directions:

-Combine all ingredients to make a paste. Apply to skin and wait for it to dry, rinse with cool water
