You would think with all of the sex education that we get starting from a very young age that this statistic wouldn’t exist. However, the CDC had announced that STDs are at an all-time high in the U.S.

So high, that in 2008 there were 19.7 million new venereal infections, bringing the country’s total residents living with STDs to a total of 110,197,000. Of those new cases, nearly 10 million were among people aged 15 to 24 years old. Fifteen, which is terrifying.

When you compare these statistics to statistics from the National Center for Education Statistics, new STDs outnumbered college degree earners more than 6 to 1.
