Sleep. Naked.

Ain’t it true that almost every guy you speak to says that they sleep naked? Guys love to strip down before getting into bed, whether they’re alone or not, so why don’t women do the same?

Maybe it’s because we always need to look good, so wearing matching pajama sets to bed make us feel good as well. Well I’m here to help you abandon those thoughts. Us ladies should be sleeping naked more often than we do, and surprisingly, sleeping naked can benefit our health.

The National Sleep Foundation has clearly stated that our body temperature is supposed to progressively decline as we sleep, and that wearing heavy pajamas and blankets can disrupt that process. Sleeping naked can actually help you maintain a cooler environment while you sleep, which is good for your overall health.

Also, being too warm at night disrupts the release of melatonin and your main anti-aging hormones while you sleep. As your body sleeps, your body temperature is supposed to drop to release this growth hormone to work in a regenerative manner, which can help your hair and skin look better. If you’re too warm at night, this process can be hindered.

I know every lady out there will love this: sleeping naked can actually help you lose belly fat. When you’re sleeping naked, your body is cooler (we’ve reiterated this), which helps your body sleep soundly, which leads to your stress levels decreasing, which keeps your energy and hunger levels in check.

When your sleep is disrupted, the cortisol levels in your body will be too high, making you more likely to wake up hungry for comfort foods, and even more likely to overeat them.

Have I convinced you to sleep naked yet?
