8 Reasons Going The Gym Is Better Than Having A Boyfriend
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I feel like we are all terrified of being alone on the one night we want a boyfriend to bring us flowers, heart-shaped chocolates and take us out to a fancy dinner.
Well, ladies, there is something better than having a boyfriend, except in my case, it’s called the “gym.”
I know, it’s a struggle to get out of bed and drag our lazy asses to work out, but it’s worth it.
While all those Valentine’s Day people are gaining weight, eating 10 baskets of bread with dinner and stuffing their faces full of chocolates, you could be feeling great sweating at the gym.
Here are eight good reasons why joining a gym is better than having a boyfriend:
The gym is always there for you.
It doesn’t matter how you look or how much you yell at the treadmill when you almost passed out from running — it’s always there.
It prevents you from gaining those extra pounds you get from having a boyfriend.
It’s tempting to want to see your boyfriend 24/7 and go out to dinners all the time, but then, you're staring at yourself in the mirror 10 months later, wondering where your muffin top came from.
It’s not rocket science; it’s called having a boyfriend.
Working out releases endorphins.
Endorphins make you happy, and who doesn't want that?
Yes, sex releases endorphins, too, but going to the gym is better because it’s all about you without having to waste any energy or time on trying to please a boyfriend.
The gym never argues back.
Most of us are stubborn and we like to pick random fights with our boyfriends, which is why going to the gym is better than having one.
The gym never fights back and doesn't have an opinion. It’s just there for you.
You can yell at that bench press as much as you want, and it will still be there, silently waiting for you to use it.
The gym will never leave you disappointed.
When you have a boyfriend, you constantly have to worry about where he is, who he's with or whether or not he's cheating on you.
If you have a gym membership, you always know where it is, and it never cheats, lies or disappoints.
You don’t have to impress anyone but yourself.
You can roll out of bed with no makeup, hair unbrushed, teeth unbrushed (gross) and go work out. The treadmill never judges.
We all want to impress our boyfriends when we have them, but this way, you spend less time impressing them and more time making yourself feel and look good.
You can change the results.
When you have a boyfriend, you want to change him.
Whether you want him to get a new job, dress better, treat you nicer, buy you more things or whatever, it usually never works out in your favor.
When you go to the gym, you can always change your results.
If you want to be more toned, do more weights. If you want to lose more weight, run longer. If you want to get a bigger butt, squat more. It's as easy as that.
You have options without emotional attachment and drama.
We all like to have options because we are never really satisfied with everything. When you have a boyfriend, sometimes you can feel stuck with him.
With a gym membership, you can leave anytime and join a different one, without any emotional baggage or heartache. It’s easy to move on to the next one.
Maybe we can all rethink about the idea of having a boyfriend.
Yes, at times it’s nice and fun to have someone there, but going to the gym is better.
Who doesn't like to look good, be happy and have a stress-free relationship at all hours of the day and night?
If you don't agree, join a gym and then tell me I am wrong.
