The French national team is playing an away game today, but the opposing English fans made them feel at home.

At their first match since Friday's terrorists attacks in Paris, the French squad was aided in singing their nation's anthem, "La Marseillaise," with help from the crowd at London's Wembley Stadium.

The singing of the anthem was part of a series of gestures the English Football Association orchestrated for today's game in honor of victims of the Paris attacks.

Before kickoff, all in attendance observed a minute of silence at Wembley.

The stadium, even the famous arch above the venue, was draped in French colors before the game. A screen outside also read the French national motto: "Liberté, égalité, fraternité."

The match in London kicked off just over an hour after another high-profile soccer exhibition in Europe was canceled due to security reasons.
