This Halloween, after attempting to evade a DUI checkpoint, Ohio State QB JT Barrett was arrested for drunk driving near the school's Columbus campus.

Earlier this week, the sophomore plead guilty to one count of driving while impaired and was subsequently slapped with a mandatory three-day alcohol education class, had his license suspended for 180 days and was fined $400.

Now, it appears the 20-year-old attempted to wriggle out of handcuffs by leaning on his celebrityhood as OSU's star quarterback.

As you can hear in the video below, Barrett told the arresting officers,

I'm the quarterback of Ohio State. Officer, is there nothing you can do?

One of the officers replied,

My intention is not to take you to jail. That's the best I can do for you.

The undefeated Buckeyes are currently the number two ranked team in the country, and, as of Monday, head coach Urban Meyer stated Barrett will be his starting quarterback this Saturday when OSU travels to Illinois.
