You guys, it's official: Surfing just became an Olympic sport.

According to SURFER magazine, the sport of surfing will make its Olympic debut at the 2020 games in Tokyo. The IOC reportedly voted to add surfing to the Olympics after the Tokyo Games organizers created a proposal in September of 2015.

SURFER magazine outlined most of the details for how surfing will be contested in Tokyo in four years time, but here are a few of the competition highlights:

  • The event will be held in the ocean, as opposed to a wave pool, at Chiba, Japan.
  • A total of 20 men and 20 women will compete.
  • The event will only feature shortboarding.

Naturally, the next question on everyone's mind is which surfers will be competing in Tokyo in 2020? Well, no one knows for certain, but one can only hope Anastasia Ashley is among the 20 women who are chosen to compete.

The 29-year-old Ashley is a California native who is both a professional surfer and a professional model.

Spoiler: Anastasia Ashley is quite possibly the sexiest surfer alive.

Here's a closer look at Ashley, who I can only pray will be competing in the 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Anastasia Ashley is a 29-year-old professional surfer from San Clemente, California.

She began surfing when she was 5 years old, shortly before she moved to Hawaii.

When she was 6, Ashley won a surfing contest with an old board she found in the trash.

Just a year later, this surfing queen got a sponsor to replace that board and help set her on the path to greatness.

Anastasia Ashley was dubbed Triple Crown Rookie of the Year in 2003...

...and she won her first major national title when she was just 16.

In the early stages of her career, Ashley won National Scholastic Surfing Association championships and the Professional Surfing Tour of America championship.

In addition to being a professional surfer, Ashley is also a professional model.

One look at this tan goddess tells you she takes both of those professions very seriously.

In 2014, Ashley was featured in Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Edition...

...as well as the October issue of Maxim.

It's easy to see how Anastasia Ashley has racked up over 1 million followers on Instagram.

Hopefully, after the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, she'll have millions more.
