Hey there, stressed Millennials just barely coping with working full time, doing your own laundry and feeding yourselves something other than taco-truck tacos: There's new research to feed the raging flames of your anxiety!
A poll conducted by IllicitEncounters.com, a UK site for extramarital dating, claimed to have found the "Goldilocks" answer regarding what number of past sexual partners sounds just right to potential future lovers.
Men and women agreed 10 sexual partners were enough to provide an individual with a decent level of experience without being promiscuous.
Christian Grant, an Illicit Encounters researcher who conducted the poll, reportedly said,
The dating game is changing so quickly. I think we are all becoming a lot more tolerant and sexually adventurous. If we had conducted this poll ten years ago, men would have expected a potential partner to have slept with far fewer people.
The poll also discovered anyone who slept with over 20 partners was considered the least desirable, despite having the most sexual experience.
Unsurprisingly, only 35 percent of women and 30 percent of men polled were interested in actually knowing the precise sexual history of their partners.
Though it's important to disclose vital info in the event a person's health might be compromised due to a partner's sexual history, lovers may want to consider stopping short of penning a detailed list of the people with whom they smashed no-no parts.
In the name of sexual freedom, some things are better left a mystery.
