This Peacock Who Ravaged Through A Liquor Store Is All Of Us On A Friday Night

A female peacock made her way into a liquor store and accidentally broke $500 worth of expensive wine bottles, and I've never related more to a bird in my entire life.

The peahen (aka, the lady peacock) wandered into Royal Oaks Liquor Store in the Los Angeles-Area on Monday, and the manager had no idea she was visiting until a customer pointed her out, according to the Associated Press.

Rani Ghanem, the 21-year-old manager and college senior, allegedly tried to guide the feisty bird out of the store but became startled when she started flying toward him.

Instead of handling the situation alone, he called 911 for backup.

After he called 911, an animal-control officer came to the liquor store prepared to escort the bird outside with a fishing net and gloves. Apparently, the peahen did not like that.

Once the officer made his move, the peahen resisted and hopped into a pile of expensive wine bottles (she must have good taste). As a result, a few bottles hit the floor, and chaos ensued.

Ghanem, who videotaped the bird's rampage, talked to the Associated Press about the encounter and said, "He was trying to get it with the fishing net, and (the bird) jumped on the first wine bottle. When that happened, I was like, 'Aw, this is about to be a big mess.'"

Let's just say the peahen had very expensive taste...

The manager continued, and said, "He tried to get it again with the net ... It just went straight diving into all the bottles. The more he kept on trying to use the net, the more it kept on flapping its wings and knocking everything over."

It's safe to say the seemingly thirsty bird didn't want to leave the liquor store, and we definitely can't blame her.

Eventually, Ghanem put on a sweatshirt to protect himself from the bird's claws and helped the officer catch her, and they brought her outside unharmed.

Unfortunately, the peahen ruined $500 worth of Ghanem's wine and champagne in a matter of 90 minutes, and remains of shattered bottles and alcohol covered the floor.

I know... it's a sad sight.

If a human broke that many bottles, they'd probably receive a pretty damn hefty bill. But of course, the adventurous peacock got away with spilling the booze and is officially the most relatable bird I've ever seen.
