Mom Gets Pregnant With Twins 6 Weeks After Birth Of 1st Kid And Dad Can't Even
Buy one, get two free is a pretty rare, but awesome deal.
Though maybe not so much when the "two" refers to twin baby boys, and the "one" is the baby you literally just brought into the world about a month ago.
First-time mother Eliza Curby, 27, found out she was pregnant with identical twin boys just six weeks after her daughter Charlie was born.
Curby, who's from Sydney, Australia, apparently didn't even think about using contraception after giving birth to her first baby. She had believed the old wives' tale that says you can't get pregnant while you're breast feeding.
As we now see, she was sorely mistaken.
She told DailyMail.com,
Breast feeding doesn't do shit, this pregnancy happened, it is real.
Yeah, that belly's pretty real, alright.
She added,
My doctor actually uses me as an example for couples when they say they don't have any contraception plans in place after the birth of their child. I knew I was pregnant straight away because when I woke up it felt like I had been hit in the head with a baseball bat.
Wow, being pregnant sounds like so much fun!
Curby and her partner, Ben, 38, could hardly believe the doctor when they were first told their second pregnancy was with twins.
She said,
When we found out Ben's face just went white. But for two or three weeks were in denial - we just thought the doctor was new and might not know. Then I saw the obstetrician we had with Charlie and he confirmed it - I have never been so nervous in my life.
She also joked about how Ben has never known a non-pregnant version of her, as the couple have only been dating about two years.
Despite the surprise, Curby seems confident about her and her partner's ability to manage their adorable trio.
We are a pretty good team so our relationship has been surprisingly fine with all these changes.
She's now documenting her experiences as a young mother of three in an awesome blog called Twingenuity.
